This Stevens manufactured first variation receiver is for the Crack Shot-26 single shot rimfire rifle and is in very good condition exhibiting a grayish brown patina with some specks of light older rust. First variation receivers were originally blue finished and designed to accept threaded screws to support the parts related to the receiver. This is the only part on the Crack Shot-26 rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines. (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: between 1913 and 1923.

Note: First Variation receivers were manufactured by Stevens and require the early variation 12x36 threaded stock bolt and the early variation stock bolt nut.
